    Diff Breathers for GQ

    Hi all
First off, I was wondering, is it worth fitting diff breathers to my GQ for the money? I've been looking at two types of kits, here are the links.

If I do get any, I reckon the hoseless kit is pretty cool...but what do you guys think would be a better, more reliable kit?
    Cheers

Haven't seen that hoseless kit before looks pretty cool although guess it could be more prone to snagging and damage maybe ? ?

I have that other kit from roadrunner and is a nice little kit very happy with it. Have both diffs, gearbox, transfer and high mount running to it.

I've seen that similar hose-less setup on my mates HJ40 cruiser. It was ancient, and we assume it was a factory setup. It was more of a one way valve, with a small rubbery balloon type thingamajig!! I'll grab a photo next time I see it.

The only thing I don't like about the hose type kits is that the buds face upwards, so there is a remote possibility of water running down the hose. Made mine with cheap fuel filters with the opening facing downwards. Only lost about 50mm in height.

Definitely the case if you do enough water crossing. Keep the diffs & diff oil seals happy.
