all confused?!?!?!
G'day good folks
I have a 95' coil cab with 266,000 km on it and every now and then I get this terrible squealing/bearing noise coming from the rear somewhere?
I have changed the rear diff oil, removed both rear discs and callipers to inspect but I haven't found anything unusual. The noise is intermittent and tends to be more prevalent when I have been driving for a while. Could it be wheel bearings or part of the LSD has let go?
Thank you joe_dirt2318

Legendary
Hey mate could be rear wheel bearings, Mine had similar symptoms. Consistent but not very noticeable groaning with very intermittent bad grinding sounds. Hard to tell with the rear bearings as you can't really see them on the shaft.

I had a similar noise and it turned out to be rear wheel bearing.
