Gq patrol diffs
on the bottom of my diff it says 4.6, is that the ratio or? 96 4.2 diesel gq ute

Have you got a pic mate, from factory your more likely to have 4.1s and the GUs factory Turbos ran 3.9s.
The 4.6s came in the factory 2.8 in the GQ and GU

I would say there is no need for 4.6's on 33' tyres(for a TD42 which carries the same gearbox as TB42), but i wait for the experienced folks to post advice on that. My guess is that it can't be a 4.6 ratio diff. They are usually recommended for 35" tyres and above afaik.
