Need help. - oil cooler leaking coolant

Hi all, dad just helped me buy a GU 2.8 td patrol, my first car. When we went to change the oil out a fair bit of coolant come out with it?? I've searched the forum and am hoping it's something to do with oil cooler? Also the oil cooler looks like it should have two hoses on it but it doesn't. Should it? There are two inlets/outlets on it with no hoses. Help please. Thanks
