Coolant brand experiences / brand recommendations

After having some coolant leaks over the past few weeks and the upcoming summer months, I’ve decided it would be a good time to replace the coolant in the patrol.

Now besides not mixing coolants, I don’t know much about them.

Nissan quoted me $65 for 5L of genuine.

Supercheap have nylon green ($40) and also a heavy duty red one specific for diesels ($60)

The I found another nylon green one at Costco for $16!!

Now the Costco one is a premix, so I’ll need to buy 2 bottles todo the same job.

Anyone used the nulon (or any other brands) over the genuine Nissan and had good experience?

That first Nulon mate I've used on all my 4x4s. 2 Patrols and a navara and it appears it does the job just fine.

I put the first Nulon in the Hyundai Excel.
Read the fine print, 18 litres at 33%, 12 litres at the recommended 50%.
Concentrate is better than pre-mix because there is always some water left when you finish flushing.

I use the first Green Nulon. I wonder what the actual difference is, apart from colour, and labeling, between the two Nulon variants.

Was wondering the same thing. The second one says Diesel and 1,200,000 Km?!!
I'm assuming the "diesel" bit is maybe for the trucks since they do a ton of km's? I dont know. As above, Ive been using the first one for years . No dramas.

Yeah I'm just a skeptic though. I've been in this trade for over 20 years now and seen a few tricks to generate sales in my time. So I tend to question the validity of some things.
