    Engine Watchdog

Has anybody installed one of these?

    http://enginewatchdog.com/

    Is it any good?
I know many of you have the ECUTalk but with a series 3 half the functions don't work for me.
Any other recommendations for monitoring water/engine temps?

As I lay there looking up, taking in the spectacular view that was the night sky and the multitude of stars I asked myself, where did my tent go?

Sorry can't help with Engine Watchdog but having a quick look at their website Like ECU Talk, its limited in functions. Only real difference I can see is ECU talk relies on information supplied via the vehicles diagnostic port where Engine Watchdog gets its information straight from the vehicles sensors.

Is monitoring water/engine temps the only thing your trying 2 achieve?

If i had the GQ back on the road I'd seriously look into Arduino and Macchina and running my own sensors but that would be more complicated than just hooking up something that is already on the market but limited in what information you can get from it
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time

Yeah I have an EGT and Boost gauge and was looking to more closely monitor the water/engine temp.

ive been running one in the last 4 cars.
Mine gets its temp from a lug that is placed under a bolt on the motor, i put mine under a thermostat bolt.
Once you get up to normal running temp you set the alarm to go off at say 10 deg higher and it will sound an alarm.
    Works for me.
    I got the TM1
