blacktop n/a exhaust advice??
Hi members
I've just purchased a patrol with the legendary td42 and was wondering if, when I do my exhaust, whether I go 2.5" or 3" and whether I get extractors or not?
thanks

how long until you plan to put a turbo on.....
the extractors & 2 3/4" is what my Bro-in-law has on his '96 GQ
goes well..... very well
but he has no plans to put a turbo on it

I've gone 2 3/4 on my silver top when the turbo was added. Running standard pump with 12 psi boost. You could be future proofing your exhaust by going a bit bigger than 2.5 if you plan to turbo later. I'd only go 3 inch if you plan to run some serious boost and maybe a larger pump. Some ppl just like the sound of 3 inch. Whatever floats your boat.

Nah I have no plans of turboing it, but thanks for the advice. Where would I go in WA to get an exhaust that size?

Methams Mufflers in Midland - in front of Bunnings.......
(no affiliation) but do a great job and listen to what you want
I run a 3" - but mine is turbo'd - and I only run 10psi of boost
helps it breath so much better when towing
