    The braided lines will not expand under pedal pressure, hence you are transferring the force to the pads instead of out the body of the hose. Think of the concept of a balloon compared to a steel bar - as you increase the pressure on the balloon it expands, whereas the steel wont as it has more resistive pressure capacity. Even if the GU booster has greater pressure, it will simply put more/higher pressure into the weaker hoses if they are not upgraded. I swear by this upgrade as I reckon it was a significant factor in my easily passing the brake test as part of the VASS certification, even with the original hard Nissan pads in use.
