Gu Series 1 Washer Hose Non-return valves.

Hi all. Does anybody know where exactly are the non-return valves in the washer lines on a GU Patrol series 1? My rear one seems to be blocked or the hose is kinked somewhere betwen the firewall and the rear quatre panel connector that goes to the door.

By the way, I found out that the washer pump motors are identical, except for a coloured insert in the connecter, which provides either a left hand or right hand keyway for the connector. Prising this coloured insert out of the pump connecter allows a swap from front to rear. Why Nissan has to use 2 different connectors has be stumped. Anyway there are direct replacement uints available from whoever handles Nice Products (part Numbers NWP346 Front and NWP355 Rear), though I couldn't find anyone here in Adelaide who carries this range. The link for the data is http://www.wholesalenet.com.au/wsd_f...asherPumps.pdf if it's of interest to anyone. They apparently also do the non-return valves.

I never use the back one anyway, so I just blocked the hole in the grommet. The perfect fit is a cap from an Artline 70 Series Felt Tipped Parcel Marker, the ones that are always dry when you go to write with them. Just stuffed it in teh hole with some silicon and my leak has gone. I might never change it.

Bugger, my poor memory these days... I think the valve is behind the rear trim near the seat back but maybe it was the B pillar trim... just can't remember.

The reason the pumps are keyed differently is so that rear goes to rear and front to front when you operate the switch. Pretty standard thing when two connectors are side by side however it would be easy enough to swap 'em back if they were wrong so, yeah, not much point
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
