Fuel pressure regulator problem?
Hello everyone
I have a 2013 Nissan patrol I purchased new in December of 2012. It's the LE version.
It currently has about 300,000 km on it.
I regularly service it.
I've had a starter issue for about a year now.
I thought it may be the battery, but I got a new one installed. Thought it could be the spark plugs, but also got those replaced (irrudium).
I'm thinking it could be the fuel pressure regulator?
When I leave my car running while parked for 10 minutes, I can smell fuel in the cabin.
I haven't noticed a puff of black from the exhaust. But I'm up front in the driver's seat. So I could miss it?
I'll check to see if my exhaust is dripping fuel.
Also, if I'm cruising at a certain rpm then give it throttle, it feels a bit sluggish to respond. But that could be some other ailment.
Please see the video I recorded of how it typically starts.
I can say for certain that it always starts like this from cold or when I've left the car off for many hours.
Usually it starts right up if I've only turned it off for a bit (an hour or less).
I would appreciate your inputs.
Many thanks
