    Lightbulb Driving Light Wiring

    Hi again all,
    I'd like to hook up 3 Narva Ultima 175's to the same switch. Before I splash my cash, I want to know if it can be done and how tedious it would be to do.
    A clean wiring diagram or general help would be much appreciated from anyone who knows anything about this.
    Cheers guys.

    I used a wiring harness from eBay. All wired up with relay, fuse and switch. Just plug and play pretty much. Comes with instructions.

    Mine was $10 for 40amp kit.

    You can ones with carling switch as well

    Quality seems OK, time will tell as I only just installed it.

    All joints were soldered and heat shrunk, the battery terminal ends were a bit small and cheap looking but the rest looked good.

    I'm sure there are better ones then the $10 jobbie I got but no way you could make one for that much...lol

    Our Vendor "Lights" sells pre-made looms. They really do make them a Plug and Play job. If your just starting out and have no real idea then i'd point you at a premed loom too to be honest. I had tolerant the hard way as there was no such thing as a Pre-made then but if there was i probably would have done that.

    To answer your other question about your fog lights going to the same switch? yes they can but why do you want to do that? aren't they for 2 different applications? Lets face it your ignition is 1 Switch that turns on your whole car so a single switch is easily managed but you need to be clear on what you want it to do and that will determine how best to wire it up.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    No sorry, I don't want to wire the fog lights to the same switch, I want to wire 3 of the same spotties to the one switch, and preferably the same relay, but if I can't run them through the same relay that's not a big issues. I really just want the 3 spotties into the one circuit. I've only been able to find pre-made looms for up to 2 lights, hence why I'm looking to make my own.
    Cheers all

    Should not be a problem hooking up 3 lights to the same relay as long as the relay & wiring can handle the amps. Would suggest a 40 amp relay & 15 amp wiring to each light from the relay. Each light will draw around 8.3 amps (watts(100) divided by volts(12) = amps). The wire from the relay to the switch does not have to be as heavy as it only supplies switching power to the relay.

    You would need at least a 30 amp wire & fuse from the battery to the relay as the lights would be drawing 25 amps in total.
