Glad to hear there was not too much damage and you were able to continue, would have been a scary moment.
You going to stick with the alloys or piss them off and get some steel rims?

isn't the main cause hot flanges and cold water crossings? sudden cooling that lossens the nut tension, bit like freeze spray on rusted nuts. I know I was always told to check regularly after water crossings, especially the first one after any distance of normal 4x4 travel. BTW, that was with the old style GQ alloys, and they aren't as bad for it as the GU alloys/nut style. Nissan aren't the only brands to suffer from this.

Yea at @TPC theyll stay for the mean time.
    But yea Nissa was screaming.
As soon as i felt the shake and ass drop i looked over the shoulder to see the tyre going past out into the scrub..
@Shantillyais it coukd well be that.
We did do a couple of crossings the day before from 35 plus ambient temps to cold water..

    Anyway.
    On the way home now.
Have a spare alloy at home so I'll swap it over and throw out the shagged one.
    Cheers
    Kallen Westbrook

Being an alloy it will probably come loose and fall off the wall.

Time for a bump... aaand... here is a great link for a quick read as it reminds one to clean the clamping face of the rim going on (All of us always do that right?)

Skip the first 1/2 if you like, the good guts is in the second part

Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
