Winch wiring question
Been working tidying my engine bay up lately. Million cables all over the joint. Got me thinking, can i wire my winch straight to the body oor the chassis. I see there always wired straight to the battery is there a reason for this?

Yes, well in most cases anyway.
All your other 'factory' electrical equipment is wired that way even the Starter Motor uses common return.
Just make sure you have good earths.
