Winch cradle
My winch cradle arrived this morning but of course the rain is belting down.
I will take a few pictures when I actually do the install as I know they have been discussed previously.
If anyone has got some pointers that could save me some frustration I am happy to hear about them before I start rather than being told what I should have done when it's too late...

I looked at these but ended up getting an ADR approved Steel bullbar, these are for non air bag models only. I don't want any insurance issues if it all turns to shite.
This is from their add:
Has this winch cradle been certified for airbag compatibility ?
The winch cradle was designed with air bag compatibility in mind and utilises the same mounting points as that of the Nissan air bag compatible steel bullbar. However, crash testing and certification has not been performed therefore the product is for non air bag models only.
Cheers

Hi Mc4by that was the company that told me they dont make a cradle for the 50th Anniversary bulbar. It is quite different than the standard alloy bar

Do you have any mates that are good with a welder?
I don't but someone on the forum made their own cradle.
Wish I had some of the skills that get displayed on this forum.

apparently the problem is the shape of the bar, its not as deep as the usual GU bar, looks a little like an ARB steel deluxe bar, and has no "holes" in the under skirt. I did ask a fabrication friend who said by the time he did all the cutting bending and drilling, that one you bought was way cheaper. BUT I didn't count on it not fitting my bar. So it looks like if I want my winch on this car, it will be a steel bar because I am not cutting into this alloy one.

I finally installed the winch.
Spotties were a single line through to the battery so I had to disconnect them to remove the bullbar.
The indicator wires had been soldered and had to be cut to remove the bullbar.
A little bit of smoothing to do but it works.
