Bummer. I reckon 90% of my pics on here are through Tapatalk.
The other 10% were through photo bucket.

As AB has already answered no, I don't believe any 3rd party AB will every have the ability 2 store images 2 the forum, only way 2 keep photo's safe withing the forum and on the forums server is by directly uploading 2 the forum. Then the only way you will loose them then is if the servers HDD fails and someone has been slack with backups
Time is never wasted when your wasted all the time

Nah I have something now that can and will continuously run through the forum and take any 3rd party images on the forum and save them on our forum.
This is being used by loads of forums as we speak.
Problem now being PB have stopped this causing issues but I'm working on that.
Server backup is automatically done, no issue there...

SUCH IS LIFE
Being one of the members not using any third party software to post and only exclusively use the forum and tappa to post pics... do I get a prize??
Actually would tappa do the same in the future and charge you for posting photos and not just using the app?

Very possible and probable I say!!!
I can't run this script until I figure out photobucket first as once this script runs it could ruin the dead photobucket links so I need to somehow work that out first then run this program which will secure any 3rd party apps and websites.
I have an idea if members can download their albums. Give them to me and I run a custom find and replace URL change from PB to NP but that may be hard to do.

I need to test this out first but could be a huge winner!
I wish we already had this on our forum already damn it!

Ok great news, this new mod does work, it pulls every 3rd party image into the forum and saves it locally and references that on where the 3rd party image was on the forum.
Bad news, it doesnt work for PB photos.
I'll run this soon and we will be safe from any other 3rd party companies in the future changing their terms.
In the mean time before I run this we need to solve PB issue.
Anyone have any bright ideas?
Options so far are...
- Users put their photos back in the missing posts - Nightmare!
- Somehow work out a find and replace attachment script, users download their PB accounts and give me the folders - Working on this but not sure if this can be done.
- Users pay for the yearly fee, we run this script and problem solved - Not likely for users to fork out $400
Working on option 2
