Quite balmy here. - 5 this morning with a bloody big frost & fog.
Sent from my campfire using smoke signals.

No kidding!!! 500km from Brisbane, but you get pretty cold there. It's the elevation I reckon.

You would think all the hot air from the pollies would keep the ACT warmer than that.
There has been a heavy frost here, so I expect a lot of the seedlings I have planted this week will be lost.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Nah, it's more like their farts causing local greenhouse effect and raising Canberra temperature a little bit, and that's how Canberra managed to be -0.5 celsius.
What seedlings did you plant? Last thing I would wanna do is to plant seedlings in July.

Minus 3 here this morning. Had to thaw out the still solid hose I'd left outside before I could use it at 10am. Sun is shining now.

I planted Flowering Gums, Banksia Marginata, Wooly Tea Tree and some different types of hakea. I also put in a heap of Red Malalueca which I scored for gratis as they were last years stock. All of them are supposed to be frost hardy, so they should be ok.
The ground is still very dry and I have been told that some cockies up north are real worried about that.
