    Question Provent 200 replacement element

My Provent is getting well used. A replacement element runs $79 + at Western Filters.
Has anyone seen a better deal?
Is it feasible to wash/clean my existing element?
    Thanks

Wash in petrol and then in degreaser and then in hot soapy water. It will come up pretty good. Don't bother with those stainless washable elements. They dont filter very well at all. I have two filters and just swap it over at every service with the fresh one and then clean the one removed so its ready for the next service...
