Nth Qld Patrol devotee.

G'day all. Name is Ken and I'm 59yo. I've had 4WDs since 1988 and currently own 9 4WDs , all diesels. A Dodge Ram,a Jeep Grand Cherokee , 3 x Mitsubishi Canters and 4 x Nissan Patrols. The Patrols are all trayback leaf rears. One is 2003 4.2 turbo intercooled as is the 2005 model I have. The other 2 are common rail ZD30s being 2010 and 2011 models. The 2003 and 2010 I bought brand new. They are all kitted out pretty much the same with mainly ARB extras being the heaviest OldManEmu suspension,bullbar,brush rails,towbar,spotlights,2nd battery,winch,UHF and mag wheels. The 2010 also has ARB air lockers front and rear. I first bought Toyotas because they are the best. Just ask anyone. Then a Maverick and a Patrol joined the fleet. Over time it became apparent which brand was costing me money and it wasn't the Patrols. For a while there I didn't care whether the best buys were Patrol or Cruiser. By the time I was ready to buy brand new I wanted Patrol and had zero interest in owning Toyota Cruisers. I just got so sick of replacing clutches,gearboxes and diffs in them. THAT is how I became a Patrol fan.
