Yeah we had a warn fitted to a work car and they forgot to rotate so the drain hole was at the bottom. The motor was stuffed after months, the only water it saw was driving in the rain., crazy! ! Lucky they did a warranty for us don't think they were happy with the apprentice. . .

Is the drain easily identified?, and which end of motor is it fitted to the drum end or end cap?

Thanks guys i will keep this all in mind when im trying to fit it. Also does anyone know if it can be changed to rope or does it get to hot for rope?

Yeah pretty easy, just a little notch fairly sure it's on the drum end. Probably best just to silicone the bejesus out of it and do periodic checks / maintenance. .
Will be fine with rope just gotta watch winding out under power on a low mount is where they get hot.
