Greetings from a very happy patrol owner
Hey all,
Just posting to say hi as a new member. End of 2016 I ditched my P.O.S. Mitsubishi Delica and got myself a 2003 GUIII ZD30 Y61 Patrol and I couldn't be happier.
Took it on a trip to the central Australian desert and it was awesome. Took a tonne of tools and recovery gear with me and didn't end up needing any of it haha.
I've since installed a batwing awning, a bigger inverter (3000w!!) and a CTEK solar controller and battery management system for my deep cycle.
Just about to replace my serpentine belt and change the oil and filter ready for a trip down to Tassie.
Cheers guys, look forward to exchanging workshop tips with you all

G'day mate and welcom to the forum. I think there is a height limit on the ferry to Tas. from memore @katwoman said somthing about this just recently.
2005 GU IV ST 3.0. Snorkel. Roof rack. Awning. Spots. Welded I/C. Dual batteries & VSR. UHF. Barn door hinge extension. Roof top spot lights. Rear drawers. 2" lift. NADS. EGT and boost gauges. Trans temp and water temp gauges. Provent 200 catch can. Rear ladder
And crawling on the planet's face, some insects called the human race. Lost in time. And lost in space... and meaning.

Youre right. Special parking for vehicles over 2.1 m is hard to come by these days and they don't seem to like roof racks at all.
