I chose the LWB wagon for touring & its practicality but would one day like to build a more purpose built Rig for the stuff I wouldn't put the Mav through.

FINLY is lwb 3.3sdt 5spd manual MK on 16" sunraysias all stock except the wheels. I'm not a hardcore 4wd'er but do use it for pulling trailers. Have been offroad. Need to do liitle tlc to front end and should be very reliable offroad anytime again.

DX grunt is just that. Pure grunt. No bling, no frills, pure grunt. I'm blessed with a radio, cd player, heater and all the mods I need. Who needs luxuries like carpet, electric windows, DVD players? All ya need is a 4.2 TDi, GU Ute with Pure Grunt... Might change my name I think....lol

Narrr thats all BS Rohan, thay are exactly the same mechanically. The luxury packs differ a little but only slightly. You could get on a Mav anything you could get on a GQ..

Even the ford badge holder for the grill is a Nissan part & as a Nissan part number in it.

The badge ,the wipers still say Nissan.

I havent found any real differences appart from the trim an some of the options .
The base model Maverick had more options than the base model patrol ,but the mav's did'nt have sway bar releases in any model as far as i know .
