Nice one Tony. Hopefully one day I will be able to have room to do something like this. Be sure to take heaps of pics along the way. Which I am sure you will.

Ahh, smell that, burnt asbestos and old gearbox oil. Cool project car, Tony. Can't wait to see it on the dunes at Swan Lake.

Nice Tony!! I would absolutely love a G60 to burble around the bush in! One problem though. Gotta get rid of some toys or buy a bigger place!
Join a club and chuck it on heritage plates (if they have that in SA?). My club-plated road bike costs me $70/year for a 45-day permit (or maybe 90-day, can't remember, I don't fill the logbook up) and about $50/year for full comprehensive insurance with agreed value by RACV!! Makes a cheap hobby rather than paying full rego and insurance costs.
What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

I gather being standard it's got the P40 motor ? Just as a base, when we did the border track, the GU cost $194 in diesel for 1800 ks. The G60 ? $500. Happy travels Tony.

I was impressed when I saw you used the G60 for the Border Track.
Have had everybody tell me how thirsty they are, will probably mainly do short drives into Adelaide Hills and up the river.
