Cheers for the info.
I'm not after heaps of power, just more pull on the hills especially when towing my boat.
I'm from tassie so theirs heaps of long hills.
I plan on putting a top mount intercooler on when the wallet permits
So think the low mount will be the go.
Could i use a factory gu set up but with a dts manifold?
I've already got a 2.75 beaudesert exhaust on her too.
Cheers again!

Hi Deano,
Fellow Tasmanian here. I stuck a dts low mount turbo on my 1988 GQ 4.2 running 11 psi and I found that going up some hills I was able to hold a higher gear in many instances. Also running a 2.75 exhaust. The ability to maintain speed even with a camper trailer attached was much easier after the turbo. I originally put it on before we did the Simpson desert. My reasons for going low have been covered by the previous replies. Away from Aux battery and other accessories, space for a top mount inter-cooler one day.
Cheers,

Hi gaz.
Sounds like you've got exactly what I'm planning on putting on.
And you got the results I'm hoping for too.
Keep warm mate, winters pretty much here.
