Hehehehe you need to shoot a nice vid panning around your sexy engine bay mate.. lol
Yeah the rear bump stop bolts are a bastard. I snapped 2 on the hi and had to drill and tap a larger thread. Was a bastard. Might even have had to use a helicoil in one of them.
Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!!
....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Yeah it was at that point i thought better rear the instructions, and there it was. . . "Take extreme care and pre lube bolts to avoid snapping in the captive nut as this is common" Ah bugger ! !
Manged to tap it to the same thread and was pretty good, although wasn't game to reef on it to hard doing it up but was holding pretty nice. .

Love your work Rossco , envious to say the least , it's a massive job you've undertaken .
Going to get mine back up to scratch then sell for a 2.8 or 3.0 litre GU , now that I have permission from the boss for a Duramax conversion .
Only might be a couple of years off for the conversion but it will give me a chance to add the stuff I want .

Cheers mate, yeah really enjoying it to be honest, big job, but so far seems to be going to plan. Got one more week then taking a week off work to work on the thing, can't wait. Also lucky the panel beater is close to work and patrolapart is close to home, they have both been really great. ☺
Ooh duramax noice ☺ ☺ . . .
