Clutch upgrade
Hi. We have a 2001 gu 4.2 diesel. Thinking of putting in a bigger turbo to give us more towing power. (fully loaded caravan and roof racks) Is it wise to upgrade the clutch to cope with the extra power? Would greatful for some advice. Thsnks John and Vicki

Hi John, welcome to the forum.
It truly depends on how far you go with it. The standard clutch will cope with a lot more than standard but does have a limit.
If it were me I would do the upgrades and then see how the clutch copes with it.

Yep as Winnie says work out what turbo your getting and then you can do the Clutch after, unless your clutch is getting close to needing to be replaced. If so I would talk with the Turbo shop you're going to deal with and find out what clutch they would recommend.
