GU PATROL ZD30 Overheatimg
G'day, having a few dramas with the uncles GU, car overheated a few weeks back found a water leak from the turbo cooling pipes, ordered genuine replacements & gaskets etc. fitted tipped up with coolant and bled system, car started overheating, figured still air in system tried bleeding again, no luck!! Told uncle to take to cooling system specialist, was diagnosed with blocked Radiator, bought new rad & thermostat to be sure, fitted bled system still overheating, thought maybe faulty new thermostat, removed & fitted dummy thermostat still the same, replaced rad caps, still the same, now I'm pretty much over it just thought someone else may have experienced the same 👍

Patrol God
Do you have the correct radiator caps , the over flow bottle will have the spring release
and the actual radiator cap is just a plain cap.
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

My previous GU (2012) started overheating on hill climbs even when not loaded (boiling actually) Checked all the items you have then discovered it was the fan clutch. It was working but didn't respond enough when the load and heat came on. It twigged with me when I heard another GU fan.

.........
Yep, there was another ZD30 on here overheating on tow just a few weeks ago, also turned out to be the viscous fan clutch not fully locking up when needed the most.
