    Dread GQ Gutter Rust

    Hey all,

My Maverick has developed the dreaded gutter rust, luckily it doesn't seem to have progressed too far yet (No holes etc..)

Anyone from Western Sydney/Blue Mountains know of a trusted panel beater I could go to? I've had rotten luck with panel beaters over the years and am yet to find one that I could trust.

    Thanks in advance.

Barring this can anyone recommend a panel beater in Sydney? NSW?

Really want to get the ball rolling on this as every time I look at it I freak out that it won't be able to be fixed!

Oh ow the bloody dreaded GQ gutter rust, they're a bugger for it. Mine is really bad and is getting a new body soon. Yeah the same hated looking at it but mine was / is pretty bad. Sounds like your getting onto it quick so hope she's all good.

Sorry can't help with a PB up there but know a good one down here ( Melb) . . Although he's a yota man and doesn't like nissans. . .

I smothered the gutters in a few layers of fish oil as soon as I bought it, and have applied the stuff a couple of times a year. Crossing fingers the rust hasn't advanced at all. It depends on how bad it is and how far you are prepared to go when fixing it.
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Yeah unfortunately it's been there for a good few years but it rarely leaves my garage and doesn't appear to have gotten any worse.

It was actually after reading your thread about the body change that I started to get freaked out that I would possibly have to do the same if it progressed that badly!

Not worried about the cost, I just want it done properly. Wish I knew how myself.
