    From memory my 10" electric brakes on nissan stud pattern hubs
    and a solid 50" x 50" axle was about $700.
    then you have the cost of a controller
    This was a custom size to suit my camper.
    I also fitted Orac off road leaf springs with greasable shackles
    I take it your trailer will have slipper springs fitted??

    If I had $2700 to spend on a trailer then option No2 would be my pic ,
    then I would get a piece of alloy checker plate cut and cover in the draw bar.
    Then you have a place to service your chain saws and set up a stove for a cuppa
