Have just painted COLORSPEC acrylic: etch primer, base & clear coats on fiberglass scoop. Application temps was less than 15 Deg C (cold side) and coats dried with the aid of halogen lamps in shed. Allowed to dry between coats and over night for the application of clear. Have noticed on top of painted scoop there are slight patches of dullness, maybe I did not apply enough base colour over etch. All looks good except for this dullness, is it fixable with more clear coat or do I rub back and apply more base coat?
Seems the problem came about from applying the clear coat when the temp was too low and too much moisture being in the air which resulted in "blooming" of the clear coat. Will wait until warmer months and redo paint job.
