Some NSW State Forests closed this weekend.

Some forests will be closed until Monday due to extreme fire conditions.

From NSW State Forest FB page. Might pay to check NPWS website as well if heading out this weekend.

Sent from my campfire using smoke signals.

I wonder where the catastrophic predictions are coming from as today and tomorrow the FDR are at most severe in certain parts of NSW

Our club had a trip planned and was canned.

So far this morning it is not bad at all, even had a red sky this morning so shepherds' warning... does that mean rain, yes please.

Forecast is for 40 degrees today and 43 tomorrow!

The leader was pissed, said are they going to barrier every road?

When I pointed out my Club 4x4 insurance doesn't cover closed roads he laughed... how will they know?

I know that's enough for me.

Did laugh about something on the website about leaving immediately if you are in the closed areas, how the hell would you know with no service out there?

They are saying potential extreme or even catastrophic for Sunday, I think its more scare campaign

Had been planning to go up to Dingo Tops for the weekend but with the conditions the way they are decided to cancel. Fair point about the insurance. Hadn't thought of that.
