    Methods of our madness

    Hi all,
i just wanted to hear some methods u have picked up throughout the ages, past down from madman to madman.

The most handy method that has saved sooo many of my bolts is a paper towel to create a sleeve between bolt and socket,
holds bolt tight making bolthole locating much easier.

I like that mate! Have done similar with a single bubble from bubble wrap with its dead brothers skins beside to hold the bolt temporarily at the end of the socket. Keep those methods of madness coming hey, lol :-)

Hello, and welcome to the forum. I have recently been shown how to use a couple of strips of cheap duct tape to hold a door window up while the regulator / winder is being replaced. Also use a bit of Bostik blue tack to hold screws to the screwdriver.

I glue the soft white packing foam into the top of my tool boxes and socket sets, so that if I drop them or turn them over, the tools are retained.
