    my DAM! gu reading the ecu ?

    Hi all my gu is testing me ! i now have an engine light on sometimes!!
    2005 Gu 2005 4.2 TI how do I go about reading its mind .
    I have downloaded a manual I am doing somthing wrong . I cant read it its all fragmented like my head ATM .

    Easiest way is via a plug and play ECU reader like a Scan gauge or similar. You can use a jumper wire in the OBDII port and then count the number of flashes it will give off when doing this. The number of flashes means the error code its giving, theres a list somewhere here, or there, which tells you what the codes are.
    Or you can go to Super Cheap Auto, I think its $15 or something and they can plug their machine in for you and tell you what the error code is.

    Nissan data scan will also pull codes off if you have OBDII reader

    td42ti have a Consult port, not OBDII , and is only read by ECU Talk. No Scangauge etc will work on it.

    I have changed the fuel filter . Just to be on the safe side . still looking for the fault
