cruise control issues
hi everyone
my cruise control works fine until i turn on the airconditioner.
the cruise cuts out and then kicks in at about 10-15 km below the original setting.
approx 4mins later it does the same thing.
please any info would be great.
i am driving a 2005 nissan patrol auto.

This is a wild card but worth looking at. It could be the extra load when the AC compressor kicks in is dropping the Cruise control. It may be mechanical if the compressor bearings are shot. The compressor doesn't run constantly. The compressor pully runs free and has a clutch that engages the compressor as required. See if you can feel any loss of power when the compressor kicks in.
