without knowing what engine/turbo/exhaust its a bit like asking how longs a piece of string
that said i fitted a heavily modified 3" system from a gu zd30 to my gq tb42e turbo in a couple of hours without lifting the vehicle off the ground exhaust was built in 3 pieces
No need to lift the car up mate, however if yours is ZD30 powered then the OEM dump pipe/DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) will not come off unless you drop LH side of the sway bar (front).
Regards
When trying to get the dump of mine to fit the port for the EGT gauge sensor, the exhaust couldn't be got to without unbolting the swaybar properly, soon as this was done it was a much easier job.

I had no issues when fitting a 3" system to my 2009 Crd. Just had the car on stands, so the front wheels were just off the ground. I'm sure I didn't have to get anything out of the way. The big bitch is the exhaust studs... I invented new swear words during fitting on both the 3L and the 4.2L.

Well finally finished
what a bloody job it would be easier if you have small hands and getting the turbo heat shield off was an adventure
as im retired the time frame didn't concern me but if its your only vehicle and needed every day might be a different story.
I had to take the sway bar off on the passenger side and push it back then under the engine pipe as it was different length to OEM one.
I am happy with the difference tho as the car pulls better now.
cheers
