Hey guys, I'm going to be installing an exhaust on my 2013 CRD over the coming weekend. I attempted the dreaded heat shield removal and failed not so long ago. I've read that if I remove the actuator from the bracket, it makes life easier. Has anyone got any instructions on how to do this? Or any other tips of how to get that Bl**dy thing out?
I had removed second battery, catch Can and intercooler piping. I could get it over the actuator easy enough but it was still getting caught on something and wouldn't come out.

I wouldn't touch the actuator! The heat shield comes off, but not the way everyone thinks. You need to tilt it forward from the memory and then sideways to slip it out.....
I have a note somewhere how it is done, I wrote it down for next time LOL, just need to find it.....
