Nissan tow bars
Hi all,
I'm looking around for a tow bar for my 2007 DX Patrol wagon. I've noticed that there are a bunch of Nissan genuine bars listed for sale on Ebay by various sellers. One stated that he was upgrading.
My question is, is there something wrong with the genuine ones? If so, what? Why are people taking them off? Are they good for light - medium work or whould they be avoided altogether?
Thanks.
Brian.

Patrol God
Not sure on ratings of weight, but some do not have a receiver in them, they are made to suit flat type tongue. For offroading and recovery a 3 Tonne rated receiver type one would be best.

if the bar they are selling will take a Haymen Reece style square receiver then it should be rated to the towing capacity of the Patrol which i think is 3.5t?? Go for it. best way to but one.
If mine did not come with one i would be buying off ebay for sure.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.
