dunno what you ended up buying, but a black wolf or oztent seem like too much $$ if you already have a camper & swag.

i have a coleman instant-up tent and i think it's great. i have a 6pax and it has heaps of room for me & the wife on a queen size airbed and a single kid in a compact portacot. would maybe need an 8-10pax if we had another kid. costs about $200-250 on sale from tentworld. goes up quickly and easily, hasn't leaked even on some very wet nights, stands up to a reasonable wind, fairly cool in summer, packs up fairly small, not too heavy. have had it for about 7 years now and taken it on at least 50 trips, my only complaint is the carry bag could be a bit bigger and sturdier. otherwise love it.

Mate of mine just recently bought the 10pax gold series Coleman from Snowys, I was quite impressed.

I'm taking the wee man and youngest daughter camping for the night tomorrow, our Dune Eyre Plus is too big for just the three of us, and my swag is too small for the 3 of us, so I went and got one of these for $200. I did think about just getting a dome tent, but that thought passed pretty quick......

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

yeah the black wolf's are really nice, but the $700 ones are pretty small..! i also saw the sale and you need to spend about $1000 to get the turbo 300 and even that is only the same size as the 6pax coleman instant up.

Since this is back up top here's a recent pic of my companion Exo pro tent. For quicker setup no need for a fly as it is full canvas and water proof without (have tested it). Fly just gives front awning (good for water run off in showers) and helps regulate temp better especially in summer. Never needed to peg guy ropes, just peg out windows or roll them up. Stable and quick to setup.

Several years old now and going strong.
