So weekend just gone i had to refit the winch and re ran Ll the wiring and changed everything out to 70mm/sq. I also had a gigglepin Solenoid ready to go so took the opportunity to fit that into a permanant place in preparation of a himount i might have in the shed waiting a rebuild.

I also ran the airline and wiring for the front airlocker i added a couple of weeks ago and wired into the mounted compressor in the back drawer wing. Switches also mounted in the dash (no pics sorry gents)

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

And today is the day. Brand new Terrain Tamer Excedy Tuff Clutch

On the rollers. They we te e not prepared to do a pre tune roll because of the big fuel big boost he didnt want to risk damage which i appreciated.

    Roll off

    176rwkw.
    550nm Torque
    AF of 21
    Max EGT of 550.

Speaking with the Tuner tonight and he compared the result to a UFI 18g but with a better AF ratio and lower boost. He was very please.

When it was tuned by deiseltec Andy re removed the boost controller ans tuned the boost off the Actuator which he set at 27psi. 4wdObsession didnt want to change that setting so gave me a safe tune with what i presented.

Roll On Power is kind of crazy in 5th and plenty of punch in every gear.

Very happy. Clutch feels weird but once im used to that I'll be stoked.

Darren, great install. Word of caution though, from bitter experience with the silicone bends on intercooler circuits, and bearing in mind my boosts were a lot less than yours - those elbows are going to give you grief. The bends get hot and they slip from under the clamps. I see you have gone with the heavy duty bolted units, but. I found the only way to retain the silicone bends was to 'cocky spatter build up ridge' like a furl, so the hose clamp could clamp against a ridge and not allow the hose to slip. To rectify mine after a heap of trouble and twice coming home with leaking pipes on a 2.8TD - not fun - I converted the system to SS elbows and kept the joiners on the straight sections where they don't see the change of direction forces in play. Just my 2c observation.

Yeah cheers Phil. I had a fair bit of trouble blowing IC hoses off with the factory top mount so i know what you mean. I have tried to use the good quality clamps everywhere although i did run out and had to tax a couple from other tasks which i might swap out. Hot summer day and long beach run will test it out for sure. Thanks for the comment mate, ill keep an eye on it.

Down the track after you have had some fun, I think it would not take much effort to replicate the compound bends with welded elements, using a stack of 90's etc. Install looks very sweet. Congrats.
