Thanks for the welcome messages.
So, I flew across from the west coast to the east coat of Iceland today to pick up the truck, it cost me about USD 4k. As mentioned, the tyres are 35" and they are new. This is my first truck, so I am obviously a total noob, but the truck handles very well on tarmac. There is some rust on the chassis that needs to be fixed and the running boards are coming loose, they were actually bolted to the chassis.
Anyway, here are a few pictures as promised.

Very nice love the flairs ......
I never go into the outback with out a decent supply of water,
and the general rule for how much you'll need is three litres
per day , per person, per man per degree over 25 degrees
celcius, per kilometer if walking on foot, in the winter months
dividing it by two, plus... another litre... at the end .... Russell Coight
