    Aircon Bracket

    Hi All

Having a few dramas with the Patrol at the moment. The bracket that the aircon pump mounts to has fractured and was threatening to break completely off. I have searched every wrecker I can think of locally with no luck. Visited one Nissan dealer who told me after searching the computer that my car does not have aircon, and that even tho I had the broken part on his front counter he couldn't help me. Wouldn't send a pic of the part to Nissan in the eastern states to identify either. His best suggestion was that an airconditioning specialist might have a universal part (yeah - I don't think so....). Ok so have rung a second Nissan dealer who also couldn't find the part of the computer but is trying to get it identified, but it's been 4 days so far and no luck. Does anyone know a part number for these? its a 2004 ZD30. This bracket also has a section at the top that the belt tensioner spring attaches to (pic attached). Basically I'm screwed with out it! I Thought I had a solution when I found an alloy fabricator that said he could weld it for me. Unfortunately he has added bracing to it, and now it doesn't fit any more. I've spent ages in the shed grinding off the extra metal that he has added, but it think it also might have warped slightly, as things just aren't lining up. Any suggestions of who might have one of these would be great. As much as I love my Patrol, I'm just about ready to walk away from it..... This is on top of having the injector pump recond and new glow plugs just last week, new battery just before that, new front wheel bearings a couple of weeks before that, and an engine rebuild a bit over a year ago.

Surely this should be a dime a dozen!!

Give Clint Read a call from Readies in Bendigo Vic. He specializes in engine swaps and must have dozens of dead ZD30s laying around his yard.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
