How about comparing the taste of a home grown tomato to that of a dry floury supermarket job.

Here`s one of many Zucchini that I grew a few years back and have started to grow again this year, even though it might be a bit late in the season. I picked 3.6 Kgs of Butter Beans to day, plus 1.4 Kg the other day and a few stalks of Celery to day as well. I spread some compost around in the garden a couple of months back and finding a few cucumber plants popping up, so I`ve put up wire trellises to train them up. Probably pickle these ones too like last year.

I've just started my first vegie garden since I was a kid.

Wife uses hose, I use a 9lt watering can and have to go back and forward to the rainwater tanks - but it's worth it.

No pics, sorry. White moths are an issue at the moment.

Yes those cauliflower moths are nasty if you don't have netting you have to remove the eggs every day

Pulled up the Rosella plants yesterday and made jam with them. Dug in compost where they were, waiting for some thing else to take their place.

Saw a show called Garden Gurus on TV to day, which had an aquaponics set up and was running on 12 volt pump(s), which was hooked up to a 120 AH battery box. Lasts around 8 days.

Picked 1.46 Kgs, just a tad over 3 pounds of Butter Beans to day. Another half shopping bag of beans that will be par cooked and frozen, if not given away.
