    Ebay filters

So i want to replace my fuel filter as it is way over due to be replaced and i think it might be the cause of my starting issues..
but at over $150 for a filter is rather out of my reach ATM ( thanks to Child support hike and a new job that pays less.. lol )
so i had a look on Ebay and seen one for $50,,
so my question is... is it safe to use a cheaper filter until i can get a genuine one?

i am hoping that it just a blocked fuel filter that is causing my starting issues, if it isnt, there might be a cheap GU for sale...lol

oh here is the link for the one i am looking at

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

Grab a CAV style filter - like used on most tractors, with the glass bowl and $7 element - available everywhere.
They are a 2-5 micron filter, where the genuine ones are usually 7-10 micron.
If you fit the CAV filter in line before the genuine one, the genuine is like a backup that never gets dirty.

Dunno how they justify the price on OEM fuel filters.

Oh - and use a Z9 oil filter.
    "Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
Best way to deal with a "Can't" is to chop off the "t" and brew it in boiled water for a few minutes.
Sip on the "t", and consider what you've got left to work with

    G'day Mal
depends on your wagon.....GQ is dead easy. GU; not quite totally sucks but is definitely a retrograde step in design and placement.
    What you got?
