WTB - GU spare tyre mount / bracket.

Mine is cracked along bottom edge and as such the wheel wobbles all over the place. So I'm chasing a replacement spare wheel mount for a '98 GU.

    Cheers

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I dont have one James but I do have a welder. If your ever over my way. I could mig it for you. Or as Darren has said. Take to any workshop and they could do it on the cheap.

Its the fibreglass moulding cracked. At the bottom.

All good now folks. I visited Readies and picked one up on my way home from work. Figured with all the cab chops they do they must have some rear doors laying about.

It has a fibreglass type housing over the top of a metal bracket the bottom wheel stud bolts through a fibreglass section. I'll post a pic tomorrow. Apparently there is a full metal version, which is what I acquired today, and a later version with some moulded fibreglass / plastic section.
