So what's the rationale behind the continued pumping of the primer after the engine has started? Is it to get rid of any ore possible air bubbles in the lines?

    Spot in..
You need to force it threw..
The pump sucks fuel.. not air.
    So you gotta assist it.

Built into the pump is a circuit board, and this apparently gets hot so fuel flows under or over or near it, to keep it cool. If you get an air lock in the pump, just running the car wont remove it and then you over head the pcd and then its fried and then your up for a new pump. So I have been told and from my findings last year on this. So continually priming whilst the motor running will push any air locks out.

    Hi,
I got Nissan patrol 2010 3L Turbo Diesel Y61 Model. Suddenly there is an oil leak on top of 3rd injector.
Can someone let me know what can be the reason. Only 160 000km so far.
Please let me know how to fix this. I have attached a picture.

    Thanks
