So wish I had seen them at Calder park in their prime! Wouldn't go now tho but that's just my opinion.
What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

In all honesty they weren't the best band on the day, they were late, the whole event was poorly organised, it was a farked day weather wise and a nightmare trying to leave. BUT I'm glad that I was there.
My wife and a few other family members didn't go last time so I think we'll have a group going.

Yeah when axl wasnt taking his meds it was a shambles. Bet acdc have got him in line tho, couldnt get much more professional. Even saw on youtube axl on stage fronting acdc wearing a moon boot sitting in a chair. He would have chucked the tour in if he was fronting gnr at the time.

I think axl's the only original member of the band now. Certainly wont have slash back, they cant even accept hall of fame induction together! Axl was a no show for that coz slash was turning up.

Nah mate, they've kissed and made up.
Not sure if it's the entire original members, but definitely Axel, slash and Duff.
Check out the video Axel doing a whole lot of Rosie, sounds good and slash doing the godfather theme.

Fair dinkum? Well blow me down with a feather! Got links for above jay see?
Am surprised about them reconsiling, maybe axl gave back some ownership of the band to slash as it all started to crumble when axl refused to go on stage, somewhere in south america i think, until all members (mostly if not only slash?) signed over their share of gnr IP rights to him. Was the showdown at the ok corral backstage and from what ive read they relented so the concert wasnt cancelled. Hard nosed and hard to live with is axl i reckon! He did say he wanted to create the hardest and meanest band of all time. Think he did that! But the glory days are over, so for me id rather remember them in the moment.
Appetite for destruction is still an amazing album, one of those rare ones that are just jam packed with brilliance.
I thought Lies was great too, especially Patience but there were some brilliant tracks on that one. Really raw and under produced. My understanding is this album was recorded before Appetite but released later on the back of its success. Could be wrong tho.
Best song ever for me tho was Coma from Use Your Illusion (1 or 2 can't remember). What a bloody journey that is! Such storytelling, so long, so much power and pain and vunerability. Would be such a hard song to deliver. Never been covered wonder why!
Anyway as you probably know, i rated them but would not go now. Best to keep the memories great.
