    We drove, then waddled into Bunnings to pick up and repotted in their carpark some ‘Northcote Pottery’ Native ‘Kangaroo Paws’ to Compliment our Matriarch’s Mud Brick’s for Her 109th Birfday Tomorrow



    Hopefully She’s impressed with Her Boy’s efforts when She returns home off the Grog later tonight

    One of the work guys in my team was down in a creek on site where we are drilling and came across these freshwater crabs in the rapidly drying mud. Apparently, like the fish in these seasonal streams, they hide deep in the mud and come out when it rains.

    Out and about at a local park In the fading light, Mrs mudsane thought it was a koala at first glance. It was in a branch a couple of feet away from its family.
    Getting all three in one good shot was just not on the cards.

    This unusual visitor to Portland, a Southern Elephant Seal, is the talk of the town. As you can see by the gangway in the background the seal is bloody huge. Seeing documentaries about them doesn't give you any sort of perspective on just how large these seals get.
