Found this little tortoise on the road, when I was going towards South Kolan on Cedars Rd. I checked for injuries, but didn`t see any thing wrong and may of been hiding in his shell due to fright of vehicles straddling him. I put him on to the side of the road, near some water.

    Top thread BR :-)!!
Best I can find ATM is from offshore.
Chattanonga Deep South, yes like the song :-)

As mentioned above, our reflexes are always too late and being there is really the moment.
Hundreds of I think 'swallows' were forming geometrical attack patterns on bugs, shame my pics only show the scatter after their natural onslaught ;-)

Brush-tailed Phascogale also known as a Tuan or the Common Wambenger. I was sitting around camp at night on the north coast of NSW when this little guy was running around, thought it was a rat at first, very fast & hard to see in the dark. Ended up setting the camera up with the motion detector pointing at the oak tree he was living in, still took about 20 frames to get a full picture of him.

They are carnivorous & also feed on nectar. Distant relative of the Tasmanian Devil. Found along the north coast of NSW, south coast of VIC, South west coast & Kimberly coast of WA & areas of the QLD coast.

Ive seen plenty of shingle back lizards on the way home from the Flinders Ranges,
On one trip up past Ivanhoe driving at 4 in to morning we hit roughly 20 owls,,
13 foxes and unfortunately ran over 2 sheep [ we were towing on a dirt road]
That was a night to remember.
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Last trip out into The Pilliga came across this juvenile Bearded Dragon sunning himself. Even managed to get the Patrol in the picture

Not the best photo of a bird, but one that`s taking cover from the weather from a roof topped water tank on the Nullabor back in 2014.
