That`s what I was thinking and I was going to search hakea to see if there`s a look a like picture to help identify. Not the best picture though, but is a nice flower in person and quite common growing along the side of the road towards Beverley.

PS. The closest I could find is this Hakea trifurcata. Slightly different in colour and flower shape.

This bloke was awesome at the Wandin 4x4 show this morning.

'Masked Owl' was part of the endangered educational stand, kids loved it :-)

And this fine little fellow who happened to cross shortys path as she was on her way for an evening bladder easing!

Suffice to say the bladder in question was vented quickly and completely!

I had hoped the woodswallows would move out of my shed and into this nest box, but it was quickly snaffled by a family of ringtails.

Found this skin, not more than fifty metres from the house. It is only 1.15 metres long when straightened.

Beaut pic Mudnut, Ringtails are tops mate! Apologies to all no doubt being the wrong thread here to help but Macca kindly passed on some fantastic advise for my shed Swallow's problem many months ago. 'Jaycar' party type Christmas lights, I ended up trialling some cheapo LED version strobe lights and they have all moved on and never returned to the shed. THANKS MACCA ;-) !!!!!!
