They would be just for somewhere to hang your winch hook from, or a tie down point say if your on a tow truck...

I sent the entire list off to Vic and QLD specialist wreckers for a start, can I say parts are getting harder and harder to find, only got a couple back thus far. The factory steel bull bar is a bit of myth apparently, no one has one ATM. or there not letting on lol. so far the only thing I scored used is the overhead compass ( which I have been told is a headache)
Niss4x4 in Brooklyn will have pretty much everything I reckon, but, you need to ignore their attitude. Its worse than my teenage daughters....

have been in contact with Nissan 4X4 over the past week, its been a bit of a struggle, have ordered the dual battery setup and compass thus far, whats with those folks anyway lol, I actually do want to buy stuff but its like you say,,, a little difficult. Am at the point of giving up on them actually but really want that compass

Pulling on the handbrake won't do squat in a GQ/GU Patrol as the Handbrake Drum is on the Transmission Shaft not the rear wheel drum/caliper.

If you have a vehicle that has a handbrake that actuates the rear brakes then, yes, that tip does work quite well.

No biggee... as prev mentioned by others the Nissan LSD is the best in the business and you can shim it even tighter if you want too but short of comp or really gnarly stuff there isn't any need IMHO

@Dan02 PM sent I have contacts in Brendale

Also if you lift a front wheel going up some ruts you can tap the brake
to stop the air bourne wheel spinning and give drive to the wheel on the ground

I dont use that lock up box any more,,,Ive made a faux wheel that goes there
and mounted my spare on the inside
