I assume you guys have read the Cecil Madigan book? If not Janeo should read it out loud in the car on the journey up. Well worth the read
Yeah that's the book I've got at the moment on loan from Janeo. Made a start but haven't finished it yet, I'll get stuck into it on the way up. . . or not a bad idea, Janeo could read it over the radio on the way up ☺ . . .

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

..........
I was in a mates Hilux that used 145 liters and he was the most economical.
We had a 4.8 petrol Patrol in our group and he used 340 liters and ran out just after Big Red, he had rock crawler gears in it that made it bloody thirsty in low range.
100 Series diesel Cruiser used 190 liters.

I think it is 3,4 & 5 you cant do. We got permission to do 21-23 from land owner but he told us not to go through if it was to boggy, as it was we could not get there anyway.
